FT8 (Franke-Taylor design, 8-FSK) is an extreamly popular QRP, Weak Signal Digital mode developed by Joe Taylor (K1JT) and Steve Franke (K9AN), it is included in the WSJT-X software.
It is an extremely popular mode thanks to it's ability to quickly and automatically make QSOs in weak signal conditions, on QRP transceivers, and even compromised antennas, FT8 transmits all information required to make a QSO.
