The Baofeng BF-F8HP is an 8W handheld transceiver capable of transmitting on the 2m, 1.25m, and 70cm bands using FM. It can also receive Airband signals in AM. The BF-F8HP is labelled the third generation of Baofeng's UV-5R.[1]
Programming
The BF-F8HP uses a K1 Connector or "Kenwood-style" connector. This two pin connector is typically used for connecting a speaker and/or external microphone to the radio, but can also be used as a data connection for programming.
U.S. Distributor BaoFengTech recommends using the CHIRP software for programming.
