Modernization is the process of bringing an article up to current standards. Articles marked as needing modernization have been incorporated from some public domain source and need to be updated. Articles that have been updated can have their {{Modernize}} tags removed.
Modernized articles SHOULD
- To the extent reasonable, retain historical information present in the original article.
- Have images replaced with modern equivalents.
- Have figures and diagrams converted to SVG.
Modernized articles MUST
- Be wikified.
- Be updated to reflect more or less current scientific understanding.
- Reflect current amateur radio best practice.
- Absent a complete rewrite of the article, retain a {{Incoporated_text}} citation at the bottom of the page.
Modernized articles MUST NOT
- Contain text from third party sources that are not either in the public domain in the United States or licensed CC-BY-SA 4.0.
